Route map

The original route led from Munich to Bregenz or Lindau, though there is now also a spur from Freising. From Bregenz, a boat or the footpath around the lake can be taken to the Appenzellerweg at Rorschach, or there is now a direct link to Appenzell. For details, see Münchner Jakobsweg website; a guide by Monika Hanna is available. From Buchenberg near Kempten the route is coincident with the Bayerisch-Schwäbischer Jakobusweg; the website contains a detailed description of the route from there to Lindau.
